Patrol Division

The Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department’s Patrol Division is to provide professional police services to the residents and businesses to improve the quality of life of the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus.

The Patrol Division consists of uniformed police officers who are the backbone of the department. They are men and women who are highly trained and qualified officers that work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year to keep your community safe.

The main objectives are to protect and defend the lives and property, enforce State Law and Borough ordinances, and provide community policing projects. The Patrol Division consists of 4 squads, A, B, C, and D. Each squad has a Sergeant, Senior Officer, and a Junior Officer. Each shift consists of 12 hours which is rotated between nights and days every two weeks.

Our officers handles initial investigations, service calls, accidents, property checks, schools, road details, and traffic enforcements. Officers are assigned marked and unmarked police vehicles equipped with emergency lights, sirens, computers, radios, radar units, medical equipment and emergency roadside equipment.
