Please keep Saddle River Police Officer John Latka and Allendale Police Officer Mark Dunn, Jr. in your thoughts and prayers.
Both were injured when a suspected drunk driver, driving a Range Rover SUV rear-ended a Allendale police vehicle, causing a four-car chain-reaction crash.
Both officers are being treated for serious injuries. injuries.
“These 2 officers were serving their communities last night when a drunk driver seriously injured them. We pray for their recovery,” said NJ State PBA President Andreyev.
Update: Latka was treated and released with minor injuries, and Dunn is still at the hospital being treated for serious injuries.

Ptl. Rodrigo and Sgt. Mosca (on behalf of Officer Zachmann) attended the 2024 EZ Ride Annual Recognition Event - Champions for Change at Galloping Golf Course on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
The Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus received a Silver Level Recognition for the NJ Safe Routes to School Program due to the Police Departments dedication to bicycle and pedestrian safety.
Events included for the award are pedestrian studies, crossing guard training, pedestrian cross walk enforcement, the bicycle rodeo, and more.
EZ Ride was incorporated in 1983 and is dedicated in partnering to help people overcome transportation challenges and keeping pedestrians safe.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is being recognized by the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department.
During the month of October, our police officers will be wearing pink badges on their uniforms to help bring awareness.
All of our police vehicles will have our Breast Cancer Awareness police patches on them as well.
